Cell Industries is a newly formed company with headquarters in
Southern California. Our principals include experts with Technology, Academic, and
Financial backgrounds.We are focused on turning the concepts discussed on www.cellsupercomputer.com into real products. Cell Industries will be among the first to ship real programmable Cell processor hardware and software. The Hardware will be based on Toshiba SCC combined with Linux. Pre configured with Linux based open source software Including Open Office, Web Browser, Email, and a Standardized Integrated Software Development Environment (ISDE). Cell Industries will support the hardware and software with an up to date Web site where Hardware can be ordered and any Cell related linux software can be found. Cell Industries will offer premium level support at very reasonable prices. We do not have exact pricing yet but we expect various hardware configuration complete with Software preinstalled to sell in the $2000 range. The first systems are aimed at developers because to data the only applications written for Cell are Games for the PS3. Those games are not expected to run on this hardware because they will be locked to the PS3.
